Goodbye 2024!

Greetings. I haven’t posted on my site in over a year. It should go without saying that this year has been a rough one for a lot of people, and I am not exempt from that. This year was a roller coaster in many ways. The biggest change that I finally feel comfortable glazing over is that my divorce was finalized at the end of September.

I don’t think anyone ever gets married expecting it to not work out, aside from maybe gold diggers.😅Long story short, we just weren’t right for each other, and as hard as that was to accept initially… after a few years I just realized things were never going to change and we should just cut our losses. I have no ill will towards my ex and wish him nothing but the best.

Some things surrounding the divorce and other various stressors caused me to go through it in terms of my health. My health has always been a struggle and is a big part of why I have not worked since the start of the pandemic. Physically and mentally I just needed a break but thankfully God has blessed me with an opportunity to transition back into the workforce starting next Monday. It is a temporary position just through mid-April… but it’s a start and I’m already looking into other opportunities that would be a good fit for my skill set. I genuinely feel like my life is back on track now and I can already see blessings falling.

New career opportunities, a family cruise in the Summer, and a friend’s wedding in New York in the Fall are just a few of the things I am looking forward to. I just wanted to give a quick update and be able to say I blogged at least once this year. I’m not looking forward to the next few weeks because it is when I miss both of my parents the most… but I am an overcomer so I know I can make it through. New Year’s Eve is my late father’s birthday and early January will mark the 10th year since my mom passed… so if you see me on social media feel free to send me something to lift my spirits. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Take Care!
